The Jean-François Voguet theatre was inaugurated on Sunday 8th October in the presence of the Mayor of Fontenay-sous-Bois, Jean-Philippe Gautrais, and Jean-Michel Wilmotte. This theatre is much more than a concrete and steel building. It's a social project, a place made for the people of Fontenay-Sous-Bois. It is open to the city, and offers a high-quality public space.
The theatre is located in the heart of the city, at the junction of very different neighbourhoods, thus promoting social diversity. It is designed for associations and schools, with two rehearsal rooms, dressing rooms and dressing rooms. It is also ideal for intimate performances, with a room acoustically sized primarily for the voice, tiered seating close to the stage, and a panoramic opening of the stage frame for an immersive visual experience.
This theatre will become a real place to live!
